Visioning Our Resources
Jer 29:11-12
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Premise
Congregations limit their ability to grow ministry because of their attititudes about resources. They fail to see all alternatives for resourcing ministry because of limited experiences or lack of creativity. They inappropriately define the ministry they will accomplish based on their perception of available resources, rather than God's promise to fully resource all He wants done in His time.
Purpose
"Visioning Our Resources" is designed to improve the congregation's stewardship of God's resources according to Biblical instructions and disciplined creativity.
Process
Based on the congregation's best understanding of God's preferred future direction, ministry priorities, and campus development for them, a workshop will be facilitated by SDG to accomplish the following outcomes:
Understanding God's perspective on resources
A new definition of wealth and the purpose of money
Determining what we can "afford" to do
"Seeing" resource possibilities
Using "scenario thinking" to develop alternatives
Beginning your plan for resourcing ministry
