Visioning Our Future
John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Premise
God has a preferred future for your congregation, and will reveal to you an understanding of that future . . . if you follow a Biblical process of gathering the Body of Christ, humbling yourselves before Him, emptying your hands of your preconceptions, and asking for direction.
Purpose
The purpose of "Visioning Our Future" is for the congregation to gain a common understanding of God's preferred future for them. The church's best understanding of God's future identity, values, direction, and outcomes for them will be determined and documented.
Process
Following a time of preparation through prayer and Bible study, the congregation will gather to seek God's preferred future. This meeting will include at least the following:
Biblical Fundamentals
Review of Existing Conditions and Preconceptions
Confession, Repentence, and Absolution
We ask for God's preferred future identity, values, direction, and outcomes for us
What does this mean? (Understanding the application of these guiding principles)
