Premise
Too often we create space and place for ministry without involving God in the process from the very beginning. Too often we seek His blessing on plans created with our own wisdom, approved by the congregation using a process that is more political than Biblical, and based on our own preconceptions of what is good. Too often our plans fail for lack of counsel . . . God's counsel.
Purpose
"Visioning Our Campus" is designed to gather the congregation and seek God's wisdom for the design and development of space and place for ministry.
Process
Based on the congregation's best understanding of God's preferred future for them and on their chosen ministry priorities, SDG will facilitate a fully participatory workshop to accomplish the following outcomes:
Understand Biblical Fundamentals re space and place for ministry
Examine congregation's preconceptions re campus planning
Empty our hands to receive God's direction
Inquire of the Lord His vision and values to be expressed by the campus
Identify reasonable alternatives for providing space and place
Select one alternative, using Biblical criteria and God's direction
Examine available resources
