Visioning Services

Providing services that facilitate the congregation's best understanding of God's calling, ministries, campus requirements, and resources:

A half-day workshop designed to gain a common understanding of God's preferred future for you congregation.  The identity, values, direction, and outcomes will be documented to guide your future ministry planning.

A half-day workshop designed to identify and prioritize a simple ministry process and programs, in response to the congregation's best understanding of God's preferred future for them.

A half-day workshop to seek God's wisdom for the design and development of space and place for ministry.  Topics include vision and design values, reasonable alternatives for buildout of the church campus, and selection criteria to determine the best response to accommodate the ministries of the congregation.  A conceptual master plan and phasing recommendations will be provided to the congregation after the workshop.

A half-day workshop designed to improve the congregation's understanding and stewardship of God's available resources for them.  Biblical instructions and disciplined creativity will be used to see and apply resources to the growth of ministry by the congregation.

Project Services

Expert management of the feasibility, acquisition (if needed), design and planning, entitlement, and development of land and facilities so that the clergy, staff, leaders, and members of the congregation can focus on Great Commission ministry.

After determining the desired scope, we develop data and identify alternative approaches to determine the feasibility of a project or major program.  After analyzing agency constraints, financial impacts, ministry opportunities, and ministry consequences, we recommend a best alternative for proceeding.  If needed, a conceptual master plan and three-dimensional model is included.

In projects involving construction, SDG assists the client by managing the acquisition of property (if needed), performance of due diligence, representation at public hearings, master planning, conceptual design, cost estimating, and phasing recommendations.  A more detailed three-dimensional model, floor plans, and exterior elevations are included in this phase of work.

Once the project is approved for development by the governing agency and the Client, we manage the preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, bidding, permitting, and construction of the project.

Equipping Services

So that clergy, staff, leaders, and members can focus on mission and ministry, SDG also provides the following services to equip the members for their works of service:

Managing the business of ministry for congregations smaller than 400 in worship is difficult.  With insufficient resources to hire a Business Manager, congregations ask their leadership to do "the best they can", often with disastrous results.  So that pastors, staff, and leadership can focus more on ministry and less on management, SDG offers a variety of services ranging from business planning to day-to-day operational management of some or all of the ministries of the congregation.

Providing the opportunity for every believer to put their faith to work according to God's commands, this series of special events, workshops, and practical applications results in connecting members and their neighbors with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Using simple processes and programs, congregations are moved to reach into their community in a variety of ways that will create new friendships and a safe environment for bringing Pre-Christians into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

For congregations who want to include Early Childhood Education and Care as part of their ministry, but are unwilling or unable to provide some or all of the necessary day-to-day operational management, staffing, equipping, or curriculum, SDG Group is able to design, implement, and/or manage before and after School Age Care, Preschool, or Summer Day Camp for the congregation.

We can assist pastors and leaders in the design and development of a Small Group Ministry, based on current best practices, for congregations of any size.
