Richard C. Brumfield - President/CEO, Creative Director
Mr. Brumfield has practiced architecture and urban planning for more than 25 years, specializing in development of churches and schools. Educated at California Polytechnic University's School of Architecture - San Luis Obispo, CA, he has been a principal partner in architectural practices large and small throughout Southern California.
His architectural projects include new missions, historic renovation/preservation of pre-1920 sanctuaries and fellowship halls, and creating numerous worship and education spaces for the 21st century. His urban planning projects have included master planning church/school campuses, high school and university campuses, design guidelines for redevelopment agencies, and new towns.
He created the process called "Strategic Ministry Planning" which has been used in over 150 congregations in the U.S. and Canada to develop their mission, core values, vision, and ministry plans. He has also created a process called "Site and Facility Capacity Analysis" which has been used to right-size church and school campuses for more than 20 years. This process has been proven accurate to within 0.10 acres and 100 sf in predicting land and facilities needed for ministry.
He has written and conducted courses in "Strategic Leadership" and "Strategic Management", teaching members of congregations biblical principles of leadership and the management of relationships and resources. He has also created and led numerous "Thousand-Fold Workshops", equipping congregations to multiply ministry and those who participate in it.
