Premise
Congregations with less than 400 in worship can rarely afford to hire a full-time Business Manager with the skills and experience to bring sound business principles and practices to their ministries. Members are frequently too involved in the ministries to make objective judgements about administering available resources.
Purpose
Operational Management services are provided by SDG so that pastors, staff, leaders, and members of congregations can focus more on ministry and less on management, trusting the day-to-day operations to recognized experts serving multiple congregations.
Process
After examining the existing conditions and needs of the congregation, SDG will prepare a proposed three-year Business Plan for the operations of selected congregational ministries. Then, based on the wishes of the congregation, SDG can manage the business of ministry in the following categories:
Human Resources
Accounting
Property Management
Payroll Administration
Insurance Administration
Marketing
Others, as needed by the congregation
