Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
Premise
God asks that we all participate in the Great Commission as we "go . . . baptize . . . and make disciples" according to His unique plan and design for each one of us. And yet, the average member of the congregation feels neither qualified nor motivated to incorporate outreach into their daily lives, preferring instead to delegate this activity to pastor(s), staff, and/or the "Evangelism Committee".
Purpose
"C3" has been created to prepare every believer to put their faith to work according to God's commands.
Process
A series of special events for the entire congregation and workshops for smaller groups will answer the following questions:
Why aren't we growing?
How can we share the Gospel without risking our faith?
Why should I care about "calling" - the congregation's and my own?
How can I reach the lost when all my friends are Christians?
Won't new people destroy our unity? Our traditions? Our doctrine?
Where will I find the time? I'm already too busy!
Isn't evangelism the pastor's job?
Why should I love my neighbor when they all are betraying me or my faith?
For as little as three months or as long as two years, SDG will lead and equip the laity in beginning and growing relationships with their neighbors for the purpose of sharing the Gospel. These non-traditional but highly effective techniques will mobilize the members for outreach ministry.
